If you can't afford LAGON as Pre-emergence selective herbicide for maize and cassava (sold for at least N14,000 for 250ml bottle), get MAVERICK as an alternative Pre-emergence selective herbicide (they do the same work and Maverick is around N5,000 for the same 250ml bottle).
Use 50ml per 16L knapsack sprayer and your maize will be weed free for about 60 days.
Combine with ForceUp non selective herbicide if there are weeds on the field after planting the maize (apply Maverick within 48 hours after sowing your corn seed before germination).
Using quality and effective agrochemicals products but cheaper alternative ones to reduce production cost.
In 2025 maize farming, I choose ForceUp and Maverick.
