Of course, because it’s a government teaching hospital, you may wait small—okay maybe not small—but you go still get quality treatment. And they have satellite clinics in places like Udo and Ogbona.

Pro Tip: Come early. This place gets busier than Ring Road during rush hour!

2. Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH) – The Fever Fighter

They also handle maternity, pediatrics, internal medicine, and more. The staff are trained, and though the place isn't flashy, the work they do there is golden.

5. Benin Medical Care (BMC) – Modern and Multispecialty

Oh yes! This is one of the newer big boys in town, and they didn’t come to play. BMC is a modern, multi-specialty hospital with international standards.

8. Stella Obasanjo Women & Children Hospital

📍 Address: Off Sapele Road, Benin City

This is a government-owned specialist hospital that focuses on women and children’s health. If your wife dey expect or you just born and need follow-up, this place is reliable.

Their antenatal unit is one of the most visited, and even though it’s public, they still manage to keep it organized.
