Let’s break the myths and understand the truth 👇
1. “Judge not, that you be not judged.” – Matt 7:1
🔸Misused to avoid correction.
🔹Truth: It warns against hypocritical judgment, not righteous discernment.
2. “Money is the root of all evil.” – 1 Tim 6:10
🔸Actually says: “The love of money…”
🔹Money isn’t evil. Greed is.
3. “Where two or three are gathered…” – Matt 18:20
🔸Used for casual prayer meetings.
🔹Context: It’s about church discipline, not prayer gathering.
4. “I can do all things…” – Phil 4:13
🔸Not about winning games or lifting weights.
🔹It’s about enduring hardship through Christ.
5. “Touch not my anointed…” – Psalm 105:15
🔸Used by leaders to avoid accountability.
🔹Originally refers to Israel as God’s people—not just pastors.
6. “No weapon formed against me shall prosper…” – Isa 54:17
🔸Quoted without obedience.
🔹This is a covenant promise—God covers those who walk with Him.
7. “God helps those who help themselves.”
🔸It’s NOT in the Bible.
🔹Truth: God helps the helpless who call on Him.
8. “Ask, and it shall be given…” – Matt 7:7
🔸Not a blank cheque.
🔹God gives according to His will, not every wish list.
9. “All things work together…” – Rom 8:28
🔸Not for everyone.
🔹Only for those who love God and are called according to His purpose.
10. “Don’t forsake the assembly…” – Heb 10:25
🔸Church is not optional.
🔹It’s a spiritual necessity—encouragement, growth, accountability.
