Nobody really prepares you for this phase.
These are 5 lessons I had to learn the hard way — maybe they’ll save someone else 🧵👇
1. Not Everyone Who Smiles at You Is Your Friend
Some people are only around when they need something. Protect your space and your peace.
2. Never Assume People Will Treat You the Way You Treat Them
You may be loyal, kind, supportive — and still be used. Give, but don’t lose yourself.
3. Silence Is a Response — and a Powerful One
Not everything needs a reaction. Sometimes your peace is more important than proving a point.
4. Manage Your Money Like You Have No Backup
Because honestly, you probably don’t. One wrong move and you’re broke till month-end.
5. Never Ignore Red Flags — in Friendships or Relationships
If something feels wrong, it probably is. Trust your gut. Don’t wait to be broken first.
❤️ In Summary:
These lessons came with pain, but they also came with growth.
