Life is crazy. Sometimes you look around and feel like you’re surrounded by bad friends — people who don’t check in, who disappear when you need them most.
But then you pause and ask yourself:
Am I a good friend?
Do I keep track of the people I care about?
Do I call just to say hi?
Do I remember their birthdays — and not just with a text, but with genuine celebration?
Do I feel empathy when they’re hurting?
Or do I secretly feel okay when things aren’t going well for them?
Sometimes I sit and wonder... maybe I’m not as good a person as I think I am.
Maybe I care less than I want to believe.
Maybe distance isn’t the only reason friendships fade.
The truth is, being human means we mess up. We forget. We get wrapped up in our own lives.

But it doesn’t mean we can’t do better.
So today, I’m checking myself.
Not just pointing fingers, but looking inward.
Because maybe I’m not the perfect friend.
But I want to be a better one.
