    Dear Parents,

The day you realise that you are the first lovers to your children, the easier and quicker it is for them to have a better life. I said it in my earlier post that a child brought up in love and proper parenting has greater and higher chances of being happy, successful, and progressive.

If you teach your sons that personal hygiene and cleanliness are fundamental basic skills for both male and female, he won't turn his wife into a house help, and he won't seek a cleaner as a criterion for a wife material; rather, he will only attract like-minded individuals and clean ladies like him. Let it sink.

If you consistently provide for your children the basic needs while they grow up, they won't see marriage as poverty alleviation nor a rich man as a measure of a husband's quality. No matter how difficult, teach her who your daughter is to be content by providing her with the basics and emphasising the need to be content. Anything from a man wi be perceived as common and not a bias. Also teach him that he is your son to protect her sisters and to learn to strive to be prudent with money and desires. Then he won't see it as a tool to attract a lady but as an item to assist and support.

Let your children wake up daily to understand that cooking and culinary skills are basics and not a gender based role or responsibility. If you fail to teach him to cook at least the basics of food, be sure he will settle for anyone who cooks well, and as such, considers it a criterion for a wife. Just so you know, many who later became rich, married their house help because they could neither cook nor their wives were able to. Cooking is basic.

Focus on letting them dress well and look smart... yes. It doesn't cost a luxury to dress right. A child who dresses well will grow to love decency and smartness in dress sense. Teach them to iron their clothes, choose their undies and inner wear from suitable materials. Be sure they won't disgrace you when they leave home.

And let it be part of your responsibility to instil in them courage, boldness, and a daring attitude. Inferiority complex and lack of intrepidity are the reasons most children are molested and harassed growing up. Let them have the boldness and assurance of your backup and support. Let them learn the habit of saying No when they mean no and Yes, yes.

Teach him to know and believe that he/she is no less than others but as good and even better than others. It's not pride, but it boosts his internal ego to pursue his dreams and ambitions without intimidation and self-pity.

Let him learn to pray when you are not there. Let him learn to seek the face of God even when there are no troubles or problems. Let it be a character and habit that he will pass to his own children when he becomes one.

Oh dear Parents of the Gen Z generation, do not relinquish your responsibility and role as a parent to the school teacher who is there for his or her salary, to the church pastors who need to build their congregation not even to your house help who is also a child that needs parenting. Be there for them in all things and at all times until they are good to go. For a child who knows and understands the beauty of a family life and home, they will desire to build one someday.

Teach him who is your son that a woman is a companion and not a baby factory or house help but she who completes him. Teach her that a man is a companion, not a poverty alleviation product, a partner, and not a short-term support system. Teach her to know that when the chips are down and the children are gone to build their own home that only he will stand by her and only she will stand by him and still admire the once beautiful or handsome faces and body which will then become frail and wrinkled yet appealing till death...

Let's be guided: if this make sense to you let me hear your own opinion concerning this 🤔
