Because of my father’s role in politics, there has been constant curiosity — and sometimes obsession — with me. I have no social media and rarely address false stories, but it’s time I speak. Gossip is common for those linked to public life, but I am not in politics. To turn my personal life into political drama is childish. Ordinary photos of me with friends are twisted into fiction. They are not exposés — just misrepresentations. I am an actor, not a politician. My career in theatre and film is my own path, separate from my father’s. I was raised to build my life without depending on his wealth or influence. The industry I work in values diversity, and roles I play are often far from who I am. Some people use this to create false narratives, but any rational person can see through it. Nigeria faces insecurity, economic hardship, poor healthcare, and corruption. Yet some choose to focus on gossip about me. This is nothing but distraction from real national issues. I am not perfect, neither is my father, but I know his integrity and desire to make Nigeria better. In our home, the lesson was clear: do your work honestly and contribute to others. That is what I will continue to do. My father has my support not because he is my father, but because I believe he is the right leader for Nigeria.
