    What does it mean by the word "August Break" ?

    Popular noun has long been used in Nigeria to refer to several projects embarked  upon yearly in the month of August.

    August Break can be defined as a short period of dry season within the rainy season month of August in Nigeria. This period is usually between the month of July and August .

    The interruption of the usual rainy season that runs from April to October is usually experienced within July And August months hence people plan and set appointments, annual meetings and conventions within those periods to avoid rain interruption and to have a good road to ply on for weddings, festivals, and burial ceremonies.
