You see them in camo.
Marching. Saluting.
Guns in hand. Faces straight.
But behind that uniform?
Is someone’s son. Someone’s daughter.
A human being who chose to defend what many of us take for granted.
🌍 While we sleep, they stay awake.
🛡️ While we complain, they carry the weight of peace on their shoulders.
🎖️ Some don’t come back.
Others return with scars — seen and unseen.
Being in the military is not just a job.
It’s a sacrifice.
They miss weddings, birthdays, and sometimes even the birth of their own children —
All because they swore an oath to protect people they may never meet.
🇳🇬 In Nigeria, our soldiers battle not just enemies — but conditions, criticism, and corruption.
Yet many still stand tall. Still fight. Still serve.
Respect isn’t earned by power — it’s earned by sacrifice.
So today, pause and say a prayer for every man and woman in uniform.
Not just the fallen… but the forgotten.
