Benin Republic head coach Gernot Rohr is keenly aware of the attacking quality in the Super Eagles squad but insists his team is now riding a wave of confidence ahead of their decisive 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Nigeria in Uyo next week.

Rohr's men secured a critical 1-0 victory over Rwanda on Friday, a result that keeps them top of the tightly contested Group C standings leading into the final round of fixtures.

The German coach is deeply familiar with the Super Eagles, having managed the Nigerian side and guided them to the 2018 World Cup, and he believes Friday's narrow win provides the perfect boost for his squad.
