GoffyGiggles was a village comedian known for cracking jokes even when he was hungry. One day, while performing at a local wedding, his eyes caught *Mary*—a beauty with the smile of a sunrise. Just as he began composing a love poem in his head, *Melody*, Mary’s best friend, laughed so hard at his joke, she dropped her phone into a pot of jollof rice.
"Did I just cook your communication?" Goffy asked, winking.
Melody laughed even harder. From that moment, both girls started attending all his shows. Goffy, now confused, couldn’t tell who liked him more.
Mary started bringing him fried plantains after every performance, while Melody would record his jokes and post them online with captions like “My future husband is too funny!”
One Sunday, he decided to test their love. He told Mary, “My generator spoiled.” She replied, “Let me bring you a candle.”
He told Melody the same. She responded, “Don’t worry, I’ll come with power bank and solar panel.”
Now fully more confused than a chicken in a swimming pool, he went to his elder brother for advice.
The brother, chewing on groundnuts, said, “Date both of them until one falls for your full madness.”
So Goffy planned a double date—yes, with both of them, same time, same spot, at his show! He called it *Love and Laughter Night*.
The twist? He told the audience, “Tonight, two beautiful ladies will find out they’ve been dating the same handsome man.” Gasps filled the air.
Mary stood up: “Wait, is it Melody?”
Melody stood too: “Wait, is it Mary?”
They looked at each other, then at Goffy... and burst out laughing.
Mary said, “Well, I only liked his plantain jokes.”
Melody added, “I just wanted free show tickets!”
Everyone laughed. Goffy, now embarrassed, said, “At least someone loves me, right?”
A little girl in the audience shouted, “I love your jokes, Uncle Goffy!”
And from that day, GoffyGiggles stayed single, focused on his comedy, and wrote a new show: *"How I Got Dumped by Laughter."*
