Imagine drinking a palm wine made from fermented soaked cassava, mixed with saccharine, sugar—and even cockroaches.Â
Just recently, a fake palm wine factory was discovered in Douala, Cameroon, right in the Ndogssimbi neighborhood.Â
For a while now, these people have been producing this white liquid and pushing it into the streets as “palm wine.”
Luckily, the police caught them in the act.Â
This is a reminder—be very careful what you drink. Not everything that looks like palm wine is truly palm wine.
May God 🙏 almighty help us in this country.
