The ceiling fan hummed lazily above her, but her chest was pounding like she had just run a race. She sat up slowly, clutching her bedsheet, replaying the dream in her head.
Him.
That boy.
Those eyes.
But who was he?
She had never seen anyone like that on campus. And yet… the dream felt so specific. So real. She could still hear the way he said her name—calm, certain, like he had always known her.
She didn’t tell anyone about it, not even Zino, her gist partner for everything. Some dreams are too strange to explain. And some are too beautiful to share.
The next day moved like molasses. Nothing seemed interesting—classes dragged, friends chatted, and Star kept zoning out.
By late afternoon, her feet carried her to the old part of campus. The ICT block was quiet—just the buzz of nearby printers and faint voices from the back room.
Then, it happened.
A breeze passed through. She looked up.
A group of students were laughing near the hallway, and standing slightly apart from them was a boy.
Tall. Dark. Calm.
And those eyes.
Blue.
Unreal. Familiar.
Her chest tightened.
He wasn’t laughing. He was staring—at her.
Their eyes locked.
Her breath caught.
For a moment, the whole world stilled.
Was she dreaming again?
Then someone called his name from behind:
“Luca!”
He turned away, and just like that… he was gone.
Star stood there frozen, her pulse racing.
The boy from her dream had a name.
And now… he was real.
