    Star couldn’t sleep that night.

Her room was quiet, her phone facedown, but her mind was loud—racing, looping, searching for meaning in what had happened.

    Luca.

The name echoed in her head like a bell. She had never heard it around school before. Maybe he was new… or maybe she’d just never paid attention.

But now, she couldn’t stop paying attention.

She didn’t tell anyone what she saw, especially not Zino, who would immediately start screaming, “God of dreams! He’s your destiny man!”

    No.

Star didn’t even trust herself with the thought.

    So, she decided to investigate.

The next morning, she arrived early to the ICT block. Not for any assignment or printing. Just… to wait. To see if he’d show up again. But she left disappointed.

Same thing the day after. And the next.

    No Luca.

    Until Friday.

Star was rushing out of the library with a textbook in hand, and as she turned the corner—boom.

She ran into someone. Books dropped. Apologies flew. And when she looked up…

    There he was.

Close. Real. And staring right into her soul.

“Sorry,” he said. His voice was low, calm—like the dream version.

Star froze, blinking at him like a statue.

    “I… It’s okay,” she mumbled.

He bent down to help her pick up the books. Their fingers brushed. Goosebumps.

    Then, something strange happened.

He looked at her—like he recognized her too.

"You always carry this one around?" he asked, holding up her Literature text.

Star blinked. "Yes… I mean—how do you know?"

    He smiled, small and knowing.

    “I’ve seen you before.”

    What?

Before she could say anything, his phone rang. He glanced at it.

“Gotta go,” he said, backing away.

    Then he paused.

“But I’ll see you around… Star.”

    Her heart stopped.

She hadn’t told him her name.
