Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) has obtained full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for major academic programs, including Medicine, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Science. The accreditation followed a 2024 assessment by the NUC, with the official approval confirmed in April 2025.
Other newly accredited programs include postgraduate courses in Accounting and Public Administration, teacher education in core science and social science subjects, as well as Urban and Regional Planning, Geology, and Statistics.
The university praised the support of Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for playing a vital role in this achievement.
