🛡️ Kingdom of Kush (Nubia)
Located in modern-day Sudan, south of Egypt.
Flourished around 800 BCE to 350 CE.
Built pyramids, adopted Egyptian gods, but developed their own culture.
At one point, Kushite kings ruled Egypt as the 25th Dynasty (“Black Pharaohs”).
🏙️ Meroë
Later Nubian capital; known for iron smelting, pyramids, and writing system (Meroitic script).
Also depended on the Nile’s waters for agriculture and trade.
