And it just made history.
On April 17, 2025,
a Nigerian court ruled
that Nasarawa United,
the NPFL league,
and the NFF
are negligent
in the death of Chineme Martins.
Martins, only 23 years old,
collapsed during a match in March 2020
at Lafia Township Stadium.
No doctor.
No physio.
No working ambulance.
Not even a basic heart test.
