During one of Davido’s recent concerts, a woman in the crowd tried to hand her baby over to the singer on stage. The scene was chaotic: flashing lights, deafening music, thousands of screaming fans packed and in the middle of all that, a helpless baby.
Let’s Be Honest…
Maybe the woman had her reasons. Maybe she had no one to leave the child with. Maybe she thought this would be a "cash out" moment. But no reason is good enough when a child’s safety is on the line.
A baby is in their most vulnerable state, emotionally, physically, and mentally.
Loud music alone can harm a child’s developing ears. Now add the heat, the crowd, the pushing, all of it just screams HARM.
Some people might say he was too harsh, but I think he did the right thing. He could’ve ignored it. He could’ve taken the baby and smiled for the cameras. But instead, he paused everything to call it out. This to me is what real care looks like, protecting someone even when it makes you look harsh.
We live in a time where clout makes us lose our common sense but here’s something to remember:

Keep the children out of it.
