109 days agoThe United Nations (UN) in Namibia is urgently trying to get in touch with Simon Petrus, a Namibian innovator known for developing a SIM-free mobile phone powered by radio frequencies. His invention captured national attention for its ingenuity and promise. The UN Youth Office has expressed great interest in featuring Simon’s story during an upcoming virtual session with UN agencies, government partners and youth groups, scheduled for 17 July. "We would be honoured if Simon could join this platform to inspire other young changemakers with his journey of innovation, resilience and Namibian brilliance," the agency said in a statement.
