Dangote Refinery, owned by Africa's richest man Aliko Dangote, is planning to build a 1.6 million-barrel fuel storage facility in Namibia's Walvis Bay port city.                                                                                                         This strategic move aims to: *Dominate Fuel Supply*: Expand Dangote's dominance in the African fuel supply chain, potentially reshaping regional energy trade flows. - *Increase Market Share*: Supply refined petroleum products to key Southern African markets, including Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and potentially the southern Democratic Republic of Congo. - *Boost Export Capacity*: Enhance the refinery's export capabilities, building on recent successes in exporting petrol to Asia and jet fuel to the US and Middle East.                                                                                                                         The Dangote Refinery, which began operations in 2024, is a $20 billion project with a processing capacity of 650,000 barrels per day.
