5 hrs agoDunsin Oyekan is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and worship leader whose ministry, often referred to as “the Eagle,” has stirred revival across Africa and beyond. Born on November 5, 1984, in Ilorin, Kwara State, he grew up in a deeply musical Christian home. Under the mentorship of his father, Gbadebo Oyekan—a pastor and leader of the church choir—Dunsin began playing guitar at age 10 and later mastered keyboard and drums .
He graduated with a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Ilorin but felt a strong call into full‑time ministry in 2014 . His formal music career launched in 2016 with the release of Code Red, a 14‑track debut album rich in prophetic worship and deep theological themes .
Since then, Dunsin has released six full-length albums, including Kingdom Now (2019), The Gospel of the Kingdom (2021), The Glory Experience (2022), and The Birth of Revival (2023) . He’s also known for powerful singles like “Fragrance to Fire,” “Open Up,” “Yah,” and “If All I Say Is Jesus” .
Dunsin served as music director at COZA’s Avalanche choir, and later founded his own worship ministry, the Code Red Worship Experience—consisting of recurring gatherings like Upper Room, The Outpouring, and an annual flagship event, Code Red .
His style is a rich fusion of Afrobeat, R&B, soul, and contemporary gospel—designed to usher listeners into intimate encounters with God. Critics and congregants praise his spontaneous and prophetic worship, often describing his concerts as revival-filled atmospheres .
Dunsin has shared platforms with leading gospel artists like Nathaniel Bassey, Kim Burrell, Tasha Cobbs, and Don Moen. He has ministered at major events such as The Experience Lagos and the Akwa Ibom Christmas Carols Festival .
On a personal note, he was married to Adedoyin Oyekan from 2013 until her passing in 2019; they had two children together .
Today, Dunsin Oyekan continues to impact global worshippers, calling believers into revival and deeper communion with God through his dynamic music and spirit-led ministry.
