Dust and Gold

    They buried her in dust

    not knowing she was seed

    not ruin

They spoke of her in past tense

    as if silence meant surrender

But from the weight of broken yesterdays

    she gathered the shattered

    stitched grief into armor

and kissed the ashes of her name

    She rose slowly

    like dawn after endless night

    and every step she took

    shook the bones of those

    who said she wouldn’t survive

    She turned dust into mirrors

    forcing them to see

    what they tried to erase

    a woman reborn in flame

    a soul crowned in gold
