Former minister of agriculture, fisheries, water and land reform Mac Hengari has been granted bail in an amount of N$15 000 after being held in custody for more than three months. Hengari, who is accused of paying N$220 200 to a complainant who registered a rape charge against him with the police, was granted bail in a ruling delivered in the Windhoek Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
