FUNNY STORY BEHIND MY PRE-WEDDING PHOTO

It's not our anniversary or something; but I just came across this our pre-wedding picture and remembered the funny story behind it 😂

So few months before our wedding, I started telling my husband about taking our pre-wedding picture, since that was the trend, but each time he waved it. And me, not being too much of a persuasive person when it doesn't have to do with my market 😂. I just let it be since we were even far apart. Then I was still in school, preparing for my final exams while he was at Onitsha.

Fast forward to about 2 weeks to our wedding, we had some inquiries to make and few things to buy at Onitsha Main Market which required that I'd come around. That was actually the only time we had to meet one on one all through the wedding preparation period. I was just on my casual as every other person going to the market; but as someone who's also going to meet her husband to be, I had to look good anyway to continue making that "fine girl" impression 🤣

At that point, I never knew hubby had been speaking with the photographer regarding the photo stand banner. So after we had stressed and stressed buying the stuff we needed to buy; jumping from one tricycle (Keke) to another, going round the entire Onitsha to make inquiries for my wedding dress. Just as we were about parting ways and me traveling back to school.

    Guess what I heard ?😂

Hubby: Nwa, this camera man is asking for picture he'll use for the banner o. How are we going to do it?

You know if you travel back now, I don't know how we're going to do it.

Make una see me, see question o. Me that was already stressed, thinking of how to travel back to Abia State that same evening. Then he whispered again; " K'anyi riọna Eby ka O bụrụ akpa nawa, k'anyi chọọ studio around ; meaning "Let's plead with Eby to return with the load while we look for any studio around"🤣. Thank God I have the most amazing, supportive and understanding bestie Ubah Ebelechukwu Becca. I no dey use her play. As a matter of fact , she's the best gift Abia State University ever gave to me. Let me keep our story for another day.

I actually pleaded with her and she agreed . If you see this load we're taking about 🤥. Infact, that was the first time my hubby respected her humility. Anyway, long story short; Eby travelled back to school alone with the bag, singlehandedly , and I really felt for her.

We ended up finding one street studio like that and took this one shot you're seeing . That was just it. Thank God my hair was nice. And it was the camera man that gave me the little powder I applied to brighten my face, because I was already stressed. Normally, I be fine girl even without any makeup 😛. He even had to give hubby the wrist watch he wore to upgrade the photo small 🤣. . Ike gwụrụ. Everything came out nice eventually.

My lovers, that was how this man later convinced me to spend the night and travel back the next day. Who else is thinking what I was thinking 🤔 😂

Funny enough, this is the only pre-wedding photo we ever took and I'm glad to hold onto this beautiful memory. But one thing I've come to realize all these years is that my odogwu is camera shy..but would never admit it 😂. Infact I have another story to tell, but that would be for another day... Let me just be raising my boys, because with time, we won't have to necessarily beg him to take photos, but would jointly bundle him to the studio ourselves 😂

Ngwanu, have a lovely day 🥰

    Ogochukwu Cares ❤️
