The man who joined a protest he didn’t understand… and became the spokesperson 😂📢 It was a very loud morning in Lagos. Roads were blocked. People were shouting. Drums were banging. And nobody was exactly sure what the protest was about anymore. Some said fuel price. Some said transport fare. Some said “general suffering of the economy.” But by the time it reached the third corner, even the organizers were confused. Standing near a roadside stall was Jide, a man who was just trying to buy bread and go home. Unfortunately for him, destiny had other plans. A group of protesters ran past shouting: “JOIN US! JOIN US!” 📢 Jide, thinking it was a street fitness challenge or community walk, casually joined them. “Ah, okay, I’ll just follow small,” he said. Ten minutes later, he was fully inside the crowd. People were chanting. Someone handed him a placard. He looked at it. It read: “WE ARE TIRED!” Jide nodded. “True.” 😌 He held it up. The crowd cheered louder. “YES! SPEAK YOUR VOICE!” Jide smiled. “I didn’t even know I had a voice today, but okay.” The energy increased. Then suddenly, the original leader climbed on a broken speaker and shouted: “WHO WILL SPEAK FOR US?!” 📢 Before anyone could respond… Jide was lifted. 😳 Literally lifted. People pushed him forward. “HE WILL SPEAK! HE WILL SPEAK!” Jide panicked. “Wait… I just came for bread!” But nobody heard him. They placed a megaphone in his hand. Somebody whispered: “Say something powerful.” Jide froze. Hundreds of eyes were on him. He cleared his throat. “I… I think we are all… slightly tired?” 😭 The crowd erupted. “YESSSS!!” Jide blinked. “Wait, that worked?” He continued. “Also… traffic is not our friend.” The crowd went wild. 🤣🤣🤣 “OUR LEADER! OUR LEADER!” Jide started sweating. “I didn’t apply for leadership o…” But it was too late. Within 20 minutes, someone had already made a banner: “JIDE FOR VOICE OF THE PEOPLE” He tried to escape quietly. But someone stopped him. “Sir, media wants interview.” Jide whispered: “I don’t even know what we are protesting.” The journalist smiled. “Perfect. That’s the most relatable statement so far.” The interview went live. Jide stood there awkwardly. “So… what are your demands?” He paused. Looked at the crowd. Looked at the sky. Then said: “Honestly… better everything.” 😂 The internet exploded. 🤣🤣🤣 By evening, clips were everywhere. “UNKNOWN MAN BECOMES PROTEST LEADER BY ACCIDENT” Meanwhile, Jide was at home eating bread he originally went to buy. Phone ringing nonstop. Friends calling: “Chairman!” “Leader!” “Voice of the people!” He sighed deeply. “I just wanted sliced bread.” 😭 And from that day, anytime anything happened in the area, people would say: “Let’s ask Jide… he understands national issues.” 😂 LESSONS: Never randomly join crowds without understanding the cause. One sentence can make you a leader you never applied for. And sometimes… all you wanted was bread, but destiny had rallies planned for you. 📢🤣
