In a small village, Grandma Nkechi received a smartphone from her son who lived in the city. Everyone gathered to see as she proudly held it like a golden treasure.

Her son said, “Mama, now you can video call me anytime!”

Grandma squinted at the screen. “But… if I look inside, how will I see you? You are in Lagos, and I am here in the village. Don’t play with me o.”

He showed her how to press the green button. Suddenly, his face appeared on the screen.

Grandma gasped, dropped the phone on the floor, and shouted:

“Chineke! This boy has entered inside the glass!”

The neighbors laughed until tears rolled down their cheeks.

Later, she finally calmed down and learned to hold the phone properly. Every morning, she would sit under a mango tree, call her son, and proudly tell her friends:

“See my magic mirror—my son lives inside it.”

It became a village joke, but also a touching reminder of how much she loved staying connected with family.
