He didn't know he was being spied on 2

Two weeks passed. Kemi hadn’t texted. No memes. No late-night “you up?” messages. Just silence.
Jide was confused—but not enough to stop texting Lola.
Then one Saturday, he got invited to a “game night” by Lola. She said her cousin was in town and he should come through.
He appeared fresh—haircut, cologne, and even brought wine like a gentleman. Lola opened the door. “Come in, everyone’s inside.”
He stepped in. There she was. Kemi. Sitting confidently in the middle of the room, sipping wine like she owned the place.
Their eyes locked. His soul left his body.
She smiled, stood up slowly, walked over and said,
“… how’s ‘always being home and focused’ going?”
Lola burst out laughing. The room went silent. Everyone was waiting for his reaction.
    He couldn’t speak.
    Couldn’t sit.
    Couldn’t even fake a smile.
    The worst part?
Kemi pulled out her phone. Opened a folder.
    Screenshots. Voice notes. Receipts.
She whispered, “We already knew the truth, Jide. We just wanted to see if you’d say it out loud.”
    He didn’t.
    He left.
And from that night on, he never underestimated how connected people are.
