I won’t lie, moving on wasn’t easy.
You see those quotes that say “just move on”? It’s not that simple.
There were days I missed him. Days I almost texted him.
There were nights I stared at our old chats, asking myself,
“How did we even get here?”
But one thing kept me going — the truth.
He didn’t fight for me.
He didn’t check on me.
He didn’t care how I was doing.
That silence? It said everything.
So, I stopped begging for closure. I gave it to myself.
I reminded myself of who I was before I met him —
Strong. Focused. Enough.
I stopped crying and started healing.
Started spending time with people who actually cared.
Laughed more. Took care of myself.
Even started focusing on my dreams again.
And guess what?
That version of me — the one who smiled from her soul, the one who glowed without anyone’s validation —
She came back.
I realized: maybe heartbreak was God’s way of pulling me out of something that was never meant for me.
And that’s okay.
