The days of Isakaba — which at first I turned down the role because I was a lecturer and I was thinking students might get scared seeing me in class. Neither did I know it was going to be my biggest breakthrough. I was known all over Africa and the world because of that movie.
Go even to villages at that time and mention Isakaba — there's obviously no child that wouldn't know it at that time. That movie made most people's childhood.
After Isakaba, when the Blóód Money role was given to me, I just accepted the role and still yet, it went viral with little or no people using internet by then.
My colleague told me, today money buys everything, money pushes movies. I accept because with us, it was pure talent or nothing.
I admire this generation now though — they're doing well too.
