23 days agoEkene is the most difficult person to act romantic lead roles with. You can’t touch her, even if you’re supposed to be her loving husband in the movie. She guards her body like it’s a presidential vault!
Every time a romantic scene comes up — a hug, a touch, even just holding hands — Ekene immediately transforms into a one-woman SWAT team.
She’ll first hug herself tightly, like she’s protecting a national treasure. Before you even move closer, she has already put one hand on her chest like she’s pledging allegiance to the flag!
When the script says, ‘kiss your wife on the forehead,’ you’ll see Ekene start doing spiritual calculations like, ‘Did they write forehead or just greet with eyes?
I actually love her style. In a world where people do anything for clout, she has boundaries, and she sticks to them. She doesn’t play with her principles, and I salute her for that.
So actors beware If you're cast opposite Ekene Umenwa as her on-screen lover, just know — it’s not romance you’re acting… it’s emotional distance! Better come with holy oil and backup script, because you might just end up hugging the air.
