I thought the lecturer was asking me a question, so I answered nonsense out loud

It was my first week in 100 level. Big hall, over 300 students, and I sat in front to “show seriousness.” Bad idea. The lecturer was explaining something about motion. Then he said: “So what happens when velocity is zero?” I didn’t realize it was a rhetorical question — he wasn’t expecting an answer. But me, overzealous and fresh from secondary school, shouted from the front: “It means the object is dead, sir!” The whole class went silent. Then everybody burst out laughing. Even the lecturer paused and said, “That’s not wrong… but it’s very wrong.” 😭 I wished the ground would just open and swallow me that day. Till today, some people still call me “Dead Velocity.” Have you ever answered a question in class with full confidence — and got it completely wrong? 😂👇🏽 #SchoolWahala #EmbarrassingMoments #CampusLife #MyStory
