I was feeling mature yesterday, so I decided to wash my clothes by myself instead of waiting for weekend. I separated the whites, the blacks, and the “I hope this color survives” category. Everything was going smoothly until NEPA brought light and motivation entered my body. I added detergent like a professional and started washing with confidence. Halfway through, my neighbor shouted, “Who put foam for outside gutter?” 😭 I checked… only to discover I poured almost half bottle of detergent because I thought “more soap = more cleanliness.” My compound looked like a music video scene. Children were playing with bubbles, one small boy even shouted, “Snowfall in Nigeria!” 😂 In the end, my clothes were clean, but my dignity needs extra rinsing.
