71 days agoEvery other week, we wake up to another sad headline: “Dangote truck kills people on the highway.”
Families are losing loved ones. Young lives are cut short. And yet, life just goes on for the richest man in Africa.
People will say, “Oh, it wasn’t directly Dangote’s truck that caused it.” But let’s ask ourselves
Who owns the fleets?
Who employs the drivers?
Who should make sure safety is guaranteed before those trucks touch the road?
Nigerians call Dangote wicked because instead of seeing action, all we hear are excuses. If human lives truly mattered, by now we would see:
✅ Safer trucks
✅ Properly trained drivers
✅ Real accountability when accidents happen
But what do we get? Silence until the outrage trends online. Then small compensation, and life goes on for him, not for the victims.
So I ask again: If Dangote won’t value Nigerian lives, why should Nigerians value Dangote?
Is it fair to keep protecting his image while ordinary people keep dying? Or is it time to cancel him for good?
