🧵1/ Pullorum Disease (aka Bacillary White Diarrhea) is a silent killer in poultry. Caused by Salmonella pullorum, it mainly hits chicks hard — and fast.

2/ 🚨 What to look for:
Chicks infected with Pullorum may show:
White/pasty diarrhea sticking to the vent
Closed eyes, droopy wings
Huddling near heat source
Labored breathing
Weakness, stunted growth
Pale comb & wattles
Clogged vents from dried feces
Don’t ignore these signs.

3/ 🔬 Where it comes from:
Pullorum spreads fast through:
Infected eggs
Contaminated equipment
Contact with carriers (birds that look healthy but spread the bacteria)
One infected chick can endanger the whole flock. 😷

Buy chicks only from disease-free, certified hatcheries 🐥✅
