Over 1,000 Maasai landowners in Kajiado County committed their land to form the Illaingarunyoni Conservancy, protecting the last migratory corridor between Amboseli and the Mara. Administered by the Olgulului Land Trust and supported by IFAW’s Room to Roam initiative, this conservancy secures over 29,000 acres for wildlife—including elephants, wild dogs, and pangolins—while supporting pastoral livelihoods during drought.
