In 2025, Nigeria’s political scene is heating up — but is it the same old story, or is something really changing?

The All Democratic Alliance (ADA) just applied to INEC for registration. It’s a coalition promising to break the APC-PDP duopoly.

Sounds good on paper — but many in power are calling ADA a “joke” and “non-starter.” Even Festus Keyamo publicly mocked it.

The big question is:
Can ADA unite Nigeria’s fragmented opposition and build real momentum for 2027? Or will it fizzle out like past coalitions?

This raises fears Nigeria might be sliding into a one-party state, where democracy is just a show.
