Japa Syndrome: Africa’s Brain Drain Problem

Doctors, engineers, IT experts, and academics are leaving Africa in droves for Europe, North America, and the Middle East. While their host countries gain skilled labor, Africa is left with a vacuum.
Migration is not inherently bad, but when it becomes one-way traffic, the continent loses talent it desperately needs. To stop the brain drain, African leaders must create environments where talent thrives instead of flees.

How can this damaging brain drain be stopped?
