13 days agoPolice Chief Joseph Shikongo said that Juanita Karolus, the woman found behind People’s Primary School in Katutura on October 3, died of suffocation.
Lieutenant General Shikongo told NBC News that authorities suspect Karolus may also have been raped, but said further tests are underway to confirm this and establish DNA evidence.
The police say that about three persons of interest have been interviewed so far regarding her death, but no suspects have been identified.
A passerby discovered the Keetmanshoop resident's remains discarded behind the school.
Shikongo urged anyone with information about her death to notify the police, assuring that the informant’s identity will be kept confidential.
