57 days agoIn this modern/digital world, learning a skill is very crucial. Learning a skill makes you stand out from a population, it diversify your knowledge in a certain aspect. There are two main common skill which include soft skills such as communication and Technical/hard skills such as computer programming and lot more, also there is handcrafted skills such as crocheting, carpentry e.t.c.
To acquire a skill it involves practice and commitment, it also groom an individual by building their confidence level and learning speed.
Now , someone made a statement " certain individuals are so confused due to the fact that after they acquire a certain skill and then they still go ahead to search for corporate jobs, that they should focus in a certain aspect"
My point of view or clarification to this statement is that , learning a skill does not necessarily mean you have to be self employed you learn these skills to enhance your profile and boost your chances of getting a job , as such soft skills and hard skills are required, where you apply them to carry out task effectively ,however like I said earlier handcrafted skills are the skills that you learn and become self employed if you have the resources.
