How I Made Over ₦700,000 In one Turn Supplying Crayfish from Rivers State — With Just My Phone and Transport Network!

Sometimes, the money we’re chasing is sitting quietly in front of us. That was my story when I discovered how profitable crayfish supply could be.

I started small — with just ₦50,000. I went to local markets in Andoni, Bodo, and Kaa (Rivers State), where fishermen’s wives sell freshly dried crayfish at low prices. I bought a few bags, cleaned them, repackaged in transparent nylon, and took them to Port Harcourt’s Mile 1 and Creek Road Markets.

In one week, I sold out and made ₦15,000 profit. By my third month, I was buying 5–10 bags weekly, each bag costing around ₦70,000–₦80,000, selling for ₦95,000–₦100,000.

My average monthly profit rose to ₦200,000–₦250,000, depending on market demand.

    But here’s the secret:

I didn’t stop at physical markets. I moved my business online.

I created a simple WhatsApp Business catalog showing clean pictures, prices, and delivery options.

I joined Facebook food trader groups and local business pages to advertise.

I offered nationwide delivery through GIG Logistics and God Is Good Motors — sending crayfish to Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, and even Ghana buyers.

With consistency and cleanliness, I built a customer base of over 120 repeat buyers — caterers, foodstuff sellers, and mothers who wanted fresh, sand-free crayfish.

Today, what began as a small hustle has become a steady six-figure income stream.

Crayfish supply isn’t just a business — it’s gold from the river, if you know how to brand and distribute it.

    Tip for beginners:

    Start with ₦50,000–₦100,000 capital.

Buy directly from local fishermen or markets in coastal communities.

Package neatly and advertise on WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook.

Partner with transport companies for delivery anywhere in Nigeria.

    Thanks
