I have finally accepted that my neighbor's chicken is not an ordinary chicken. It is a professional criminal. Every morning, it leaves its owner's compound and begins its daily mission. It visits different houses, eats whatever it finds, and walks around like it owns the entire neighborhood. The funniest part is that nobody can catch it. One day, my mother bought fresh tomatoes and kept them outside for a few minutes. Before she returned, the chicken had already pecked two tomatoes and disappeared. We searched everywhere, but the chicken was nowhere to be found. The next day, I saw it standing proudly near our gate as if nothing had happened. It even looked at me with confidence. At that moment, I knew this chicken felt no guilt whatsoever. ππ A few days later, my neighbor complained that someone had stolen eggs from his chicken. We all looked at each other and tried not to laugh. Deep down, I was wondering if the chicken had somehow stolen its own eggs and hidden them somewhere. The chicken is still walking free today, committing minor crimes and avoiding arrest. Moral of the story: Sometimes the funniest things in life are the simple moments that happen around us every day. π
