4 hrs agoI still can’t believe I’m writing this. Just last week, I was laughing with my roommate… now I’m typing this article with shaking hands.
It all started because of a ₦200 decision.
We came back late one night from church and we were both very hungry. My roommate decided to buy noodles and egg from a roadside woman, even though I warned him that the egg looked “off.”
He laughed and said, “Egg na egg abeg. Hunger no dey hear story.”
The next morning, I found him vomiting, shaking, and burning with fever. I rushed him to a nearby clinic, but it was too late. The egg was rotten and poisoned his system.
He died within 24 hours.
All because of a ₦200 meal.
⚠️ LESSON:
Always trust your instincts
Don’t risk your life over cheap street food
Sometimes what looks like “a small mistake” can be your last mistake
