    The ancient Africans had myths and beliefs that some are still present today, one being the scary owl, in Kenya πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ the Kalenjin community, we call it Sugurut or Kipyugit, we believe that it is a sign of bad omen and it causes misfortunes, if it's sported in the village then the whole village would chase it deep into the forest and its voice alone is enough to bring everybody to a panic mode. If it patches on a tree or a house, that tree or house was to be burnt down completely. Its appearance signifies dΔ™ath or serious iIIness. We believe they are messengers of sorcerers and wizards and used mainly for wΔ±tchcraft What do you call it in your language and the myth around it in your community,
