Today, July 15th 2025, the Federal Government has declared a public holiday across Nigeria to honour the life and legacy of former President **Muhammadu Buhari**, who passed away two days ago in a London hospital at the age of 82.
His death has sparked mixed reactions, and rightfully so. Buhari ruled Nigeria twice — first as a military head of state from 1983–1985 and later as a democratically elected president from 2015–2023.
For some, he was a symbol of integrity and discipline. For others, he was “Baba Go Slow” — a leader whose tenure was marked by economic struggles, insecurity, and a quiet leadership style. But regardless of where you stand, one thing is certain: he shaped the Nigeria we live in today.
📌 As his body returns for burial in **Daura, Katsina State**, Nigerians are taking time to reflect.
**Here are a few questions for us all:**
- Did Buhari do enough for Nigeria during his time?
- How do you personally remember him — with praise, disappointment, or something in between?
- What do you think Nigeria needs in our next leaders to truly move forward?
