19 hrs agoWhen I started designing, almost nobody took me seriously.
People would laugh and say, “It’s just a hobby, you’ll get tired.”
Some friends ignored my work. Even some family members didn’t really understand why I was spending hours on a phone trying to “move text and colors around.”
Honestly, it wasn’t easy.
There were days I felt like quitting because the people around me didn’t see my vision. But one thing I promised myself was this:
“If I don’t believe in myself, nobody else will.”
So I kept going.
I practiced daily.
I watched tutorials even when I was tired.
I studied other designers to see how I could improve.
I accepted small jobs — sometimes even free ones — just to gain experience.
Slowly, things started changing.
My designs began looking more professional
People started noticing the quality
Clients began saying, “Wow, this is good. Can you design for me?”
Then came that first client who paid me for my work (like I shared in yesterday’s post). That was the confirmation I needed that I was on the right path.
But the truth is this: growth takes time.
You might feel invisible now.
People might doubt your skill or passion.
But if you stay consistent, the same people who doubted you will be the ones clapping for you later.
I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come. Dehmikay Designs is proof that when you believe in yourself and put in the work, your results will speak for you.
So here’s my message to anyone chasing a dream:
👉 You might not have everyone’s support right now
👉 You might feel slow or unseen
👉 But trust the process and keep building — your time is coming
🌟 Believe in yourself, stay consistent, and keep growing. One day, they’ll all see what you saw from the start.
