Not just the suffering… The embarrassment that comes with it 😭 The awkward smile when your card declines publicly. Pretending you’re not hungry because there’s not enough food. Avoiding outings because you already know you can’t afford anything 😭 Poverty humbles people silently. Sometimes people stop replying messages because they borrowed money they cannot repay yet 😭 Sometimes people avoid calls because they’re tired of explaining why life is hard. The painful part is that society often mocks struggling people instead of understanding them. People laugh at worn-out clothes. Judge people for not “looking successful.” Mock people for living slowly 😭 Meanwhile many people are genuinely trying their best. I think poverty changes confidence too. A lot of people become quieter not because they are naturally shy… Life simply humbled them repeatedly 😭 That’s why kindness matters deeply.
