The 2025 WASSCE commenced on April 24 and is scheduled to conclude on June 20, spanning eight weeks. A total of 1,973,253 candidates from 23,554 schools are participating, with a near-equal gender distribution: 979,228 males and 994,025 females. Candidates are being assessed across 74 subjects, with examinations conducted in 196 papers. Approximately 26,000 teachers are serving as supervisors .
