But once dem call you Daddy or Mummy,
you go realize say no be mouth.
Parenting na spiritual, mental, emotional and physical warfare. 😩
Let’s talk 👇🏾
2. Children no come with manual.
No textbook dey prepare you for:
🥱 Sleepless nights
🍼 Diaper overload
😫 Mood swings
📚 School fees
🗣️ Constant questions like “Why sky blue?”
You go just dey freestyle and hope say you dey try. 🙃
3. And in Naija?
Parenting na premium sacrifice.
You fit no chop, but your pikin must eat.
You go cancel enjoyment, just to pay school fees.
You go dey cry inside, but laugh for their sake.
Love go turn you to superhero.
4. Let’s be honest:
It’s not always sweet.
✅ Sometimes you go feel like giving up
✅ Sometimes you go question your value
✅ Sometimes dem go frustrate you
✅ Sometimes you go ask, “Who send me?”
But then, they smile at you — and your heart go melt.
5. Dear parents, normalize:
🧠 Apologizing to your child
🫂 Listening to them
❤️ Saying “I love you”
👀 Observing their mental health
🗣️ Allowing them express their feelings
