Social media users have responded differently to the news that Comfort Emmanson, a passenger on Ibom Airline, has filed a lawsuit against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration. This news was recently posted on Vanguard's official X account.

This came following the arrest of Comfort, an Ibom Airline passenger at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, who was remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Facility Center and later released.

Recall that popular musician King Wasiu Ayinde K1 De Ultimate and Comfort were both involved in two aviation violations that went viral.

However, a public interest lawyer named Ayodele Ademiluyi has sued the Federal Government, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and several other parties at the Federal High Court in Lagos, demanding N500 billion in damages for what he called a flagrant violation of the law.

He claimed that the issue goes beyond the individuals involved but indicates structural deterioration in the aviation industry. The attorney criticized how the two incidents were handled, claiming that both parties were treated differently.

While Emmanson was immediately sanctioned, he accused authorities of not arresting, arraigning, or prosecuting K1 De Ultimate in spite of the accusations against him.

In addition, Ademiluyi claimed that Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation, had behaved inappropriately by his position on the matter, seeming to be speaking on behalf of one of the airlines rather than upholding the law.

However, social media users gave different reactions after this report was made public. Please find below a few remarks made by some of the people who provided feedback on the report.
