School love is beautiful…
Late-night calls, sharing food in class, hand-in-hand walks after lectures.
But many people don’t talk about the **after-story.**
Let me tell you the sweet and bitter truth about school love.🧵
1.
You meet someone in 100 level or 200 level.
You start as friends.
Then boom — they become your whole world.
You call them “my peace.”
You can’t go a day without hearing their voice.
2.
You share everything:
- Assignments
- Secrets
- First heartbreaks
- Even your last 1k
You imagine graduating together, doing NYSC together, even *wedding bells*.
3.
But here’s where reality kicks in:
After graduation, life separates people.
Different cities, different goals, different levels of growth.
And suddenly, that person you loved with your full chest becomes a stranger with memories.
4.
It’s not always because of cheating.
Sometimes it’s timing.
Sometimes it’s pressure.
Sometimes it’s just life moving people apart.
And it hurts more when you thought they were “the one.”
5.
But don’t regret school love.
It teaches you:
- How to love deeply
- How to heal
- How to forgive
- And how to grow emotionally
It makes you wiser for the real world.
6.
If you’re in love now as a student, enjoy it — but stay realistic.
Love hard, but don’t lose yourself.
Give, but don’t forget your goals.
And please, **don’t fail because of breakfast.**
7.
Whether it ends in marriage or memories — school love will always remain special.
Some of us didn’t find a partner, but we found poems, stories, and pain that shaped us.
That’s also love.
